At the Y we are always here for our community. We work here, we live here, we play here.
Carrie Shalters
Executive Director
Carrie and her family have been part of the Y community for some time. Along with being Executive Director, she has also been our Customer Service and Membership Director, a Lifeguard, and a Yoga Instructor. She loves spending time with her friends and family, reading science fiction, spending time outdoors, and trying new types of restaurants and foods.
Carrie has been your YMCA Executive Director since 2022.
Christopher Allison
Membership Director
He grew up here in town and graduated from Red Oak High School. He is married, has 2 dogs and cats. In his spare time, he likes to garden, keep house plants and terrariums, and also plays the occasional round of tennis. He also really enjoys teaching his dog, Rocky, new tricks! Chris is most looking forward to being able to give back to the community through the YMCA.
Chris has worked for your Y since 2022.
Macy Reeves
Aquatics Director
Macy grew up in Shenandoah, Iowa where she was a lifeguard and on the swim team in High School at the Wilson Aquatic Center in Shenandoah for many years. She knew how to swim at a very young age and has always loved being in the water. Her adult life has been dedicated to public service. She was a Police Officer for the Shenandoah Police Department for 7 years and volunteered at the Shenandoah Fire Department as a firefighter. When she was 25, she decided to serve my country and joined the United States Army as a medic where she was recently stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado which she loved. She returned to Iowa in August of 2022. She enjoys weightlifting and working out, rock climbing, hiking, and creating with her Cricut machine, but most of all going on adventures with her son. Her son, Oliver, is such a happy toddler. She also has a four-legged son (dog), Loki.
Macy has worked for your YMCA since 2023.
Matt Davis
Program Director
Matt hopped on board the Y train back in 2018 to help us out with our youth programs and eventually grew to become our full-time Program Director. He enjoys being active in sports, coaching kids, helping serve the community, and hanging out with friends and family. Fun fact: His favorite foods are pizza and Reese’s peanut butter cups, and his daughter Grace is his favorite person in the world!
Anne Stewart
Membership & Marketing Assistant
Anne loves the friendly atmosphere and community outreach of the YMCA. She enjoys helping the families of the area to have a safe, healthy, and fun place to go. In her spare time, Anne loves to watch her kids play sports, curl up with a great book, or tend to her garden.
Anne has worked for your YMCA since 2011.
